SHOTS FIRED AT A TRAIN
ONE PASSENGER SLIGHTLY HURT. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received April 7, 8.62 p.m.) SYDNEY, April 7.
While the southern mail train was travelling in the vicinity of Thirlmere fifty-eight miles south of Sydney) two missiles, supposed to be bullets from a rifle, smashed through a window of one of the carnages. Two passengers narrowly escaped serious injury. One was slightly cut by splintered glass. Search was made, but no clue to tho perpetrator was discovered.
