MR CHAMBERLAIN HOPEFUL. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received April 7, 9.22 p.m.) LONDON, April 7. In acknowledging a resolution by the Conservatives’ Association’s meeting at Oaterhall Valley, Mr Chamberlain said he believes tariff reform and preference have taken a firm hold of the British people. He has never in his long experience known any new policy receive so much acceptance in so short a time.
