SCENE IN A BANK.
AN EXCITING TIAIE. NEW YORK, October 31. William Lcdnc, secretary of a poultry association, ran amok and killed Mr Nichols, manager and cashier of the State Bank at Chenva, Illinois, and wounded Air Jones, a clerk. Lecluc then barricaded himself in a vault in tho bank, and fired forty shots. Eventually, after a six hours’ siege, he was induced to surrender when jets emitting sulphur fumes wore turned into the vault.
