THE MAIN TRUNK LINE.
WORK ON THE CENTRAL SECTION TO BE COMMENCED. LABOUR WANTED. Instructions have been issued to the Public Works Department to commence work on the central or Ohakun'o section of the Main Trunk railway line, as it is the intention of the Government to push on tho work with all despatch during tho summer months. To this end the Public Works Department has requisitioned tho Labour Department to secure some 300 labourers—hushmon, or those used to labouring in the bush, preferred. These men will bo employed clearing aw».y the bush which now Corel's the greater portion of tho central section of the railway between Pipiriki and Waioru. Those willing to accept work on this section should make application at once to the offices of the Labour Department, where they will be supplied with information regarding what is expected of them, and what they may expect on the Ohakuuo section.
