ASIATIC RESTRICTION.
CHINESE AND THE BOYCOTT. (Received November 1, 1.10 a.m.) r . SYDNEY, October 31. With refereuco to a statement that owing to the Commonwealth’s legislation against Asiatics Australian goods were to be boycotted by China similarly to American goods, the Chinese Merchants’ Association of Sydney disclaims any attempt in such direction on their part. Tho association has also communicated with associations in China, with a view to frustrating the initiation of a boycott—at least until the Federal Government has been asked to concede Chinese tho same privileges as are extended to Japanese.
