WETLAND NOTES. PRESS ASSOCIATION. GREYMOUTH, April i 5. The Marsden No. 1 dredge is making good progress towards Fuschia Beacli, her ultimate destination. Excellent progress is being made with the Greymouth Lagoons dredge. The Grecnsto.no Dredging Company is further extending its dam. The Stoiuy Creek dredge, near Westport, will nob wash-up before the end of the week. Prospects are not over bright, as much trouble was encountered through snags. The Woodstock dredge may be expected to give a good account of itself in about' a month’s time. The Great Woodstock will be ready for work in the course of next week. All the heavy work is completed, and steam will be got up to-morrow. Tho Prince of Wales pontoons are completed. The machinery will be running in ten weeks. Tho Hokitika River dredge is meeting with very rough ground. It is, however, good ground, and unless the boulders prove too heavy the returns ought to be satisfactory. The gold is coarse. Tho Hau Hau dredge makes a 'Vesh start at the end of the week. Another ‘effort is being made to set tho Ford’s Creek dredge going again. The dredge now lies on a heap of her own tailings. Royal Maori, 10s fid and 11s; Upper Magnetic, Bs. DREDGING RETURNS. DUNEDIN, April 15. Patterson’s Freehold return is 340 z; Golden Beach, I9oz 17dwt; Enfield, 18oz 3dwt.
