MASTERTON.

(By Telegraph—Own Correspondent.) Wednesday, 7.25 p.m. At a meeting of’ tho Masterton Borough Council last evening, it was decided to procure a road grader and crusher out of the general account. Drainage works will be suspended on completion of tho present scheme. It is expected, however, that special ar rangements will be made to. extend the scheme to the public school. Mrs Prosser (nee Baker), a former proprietress of the Post Office Hotel, Pahiatua, was to-day adjudicated bankrupt. Mr K. McGonagle, who is resigning the position of foreman of tho Master ton water and drainage works, was last evening given a splendid testimonial by the Borough Council.
