IMPORTANT MINERAL DISCOVERY (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) Monday, 4.15 p.m. Mr M. J. Reardon, secretary to the Makakahi Rugby Union, has tendered his resignation, owing to leaving the district. Mr Reardon, who held the secretaryship for three successive seasons has identified himself with football in the Bush for the past seven years, having been a playing member m the Eketahuna, Huaknui, ilarnua and Mangataiuoka Clubs. It is the intentions of the union to suitably reward Mr Reardon for his services. An attempt is being mad© to form a rifle club at Hamua, and a meeting for the purpose will he held on the 6th m About an inch of snow fell in Eketahuna last evening, and remained on the ground till midday. . An important find m nntimony has been made in the vicinity of Eketahuna Some of the material has bee®, sent >.a the Government Analyist. The seam is said to be deep and rich.
