( } g P Monday, 4.25 p.m. The Otaki-Manakau Co-operative Com. nanv’s new butter factory is approaching completion. as also is the creamery which is being erected at Manakau for the company. It is hoped to open both buildings at the beginning ° f ~S eP .t e. m ' ber. Owing to the starting of; the dairy factory it is expected that dairy-farming will be entered into more extensively in this district. , ~ The continued wet and cold has caused feed to bo very scarce, and the mortality among stock, especially on the hills, has been high.
