IMPERIAL POLITICS.
COLONIAL REPRESENTATION IN PARLIAMENT. (Received July 12, 10 p.m.) LONDON, July 12. The “Daily Telegraph’s” statement that a Bill would possibly be introduced taking away thirty Irish seats in the House of Commons and giving them to the colonies is absolutely contradicted in official circles. In the course of an interview Mr Copeland (Agent-General for New South Wales) said that the colonies were not eager for seats in the House of Com* mons. Australians; •he said, never favoured representation in the Imperial Parliament.
