NAPIER PARK RACING CLIJJ). SECOND DAT, ' FEKSS ASSOCIATION. NAPIER, March 27. The second day of the Napier Park Rac. , ing Club’s Autumn Meeting attracted an attendance of several thousand people. The weather was perfect and the racing extremely good. The sum of .£5760 was invested during the day, making a total of £11,026 for the two days. Also ran—4l Eau de Vie 9st. Waterpoi't and Bushman were together in front until reaching the straight, both rising at the last fence in line. Bushman slightly faltring gave Waterport his chance, and although Bushman made every effort to get up he suffered defeat by a short neck. Time, 2min 58sec. Dividend. £5 ss. Sirius, Derringcotte, Jadoo and Tortulla was the order for half the journey. Rounding the bend for home Derringcotte supplanted Sirius in the lead. Tortulla also came through fast and Jadoo ranged up alongside of the leaders. A fine finish ensued, Jadoo and Derringcotte fighting out the issue, which ended in favour of Jadoo by about half a length. Tortulla was a length and a half away third. Time, ■2min 15 3-ssec. Also ran —l4l Bush Rose XOst 81b, 284 Warwick 9st 41b, 23 Autaia' Bst 131 b. Coming round the home turn, The Weaver and Warwick were together, with Selkirk coming through. At the second stand, a great battle was witnessed between The Weaver, Warwick and Passion Fruit, but Selkirk coming through in the Just few strides, beat The Weaver by a head.
