ASSOCIATION. The secretary of the Referees' Association has received,' through the New Zealand Football .Association, a reply from the English Association stating that it is not necessary for a player, when throwing the ball out, to stand with his feet-at . right angles to the line; provided that both feet are oh the line, they may he at A. meeting of the Wellington Football Association was held in the Trocadero last evening. "Mr F. J. Courtney was in the chair. The annual report, a precis of which has appeared already, was adopted. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr- C. H. Izard (reelected); vice-presidents, Messrs J. B. Haroourt.-A. E. Gibbs. G. Wilson, W. Holmes. C. E. Fordham, R. H. Davenport. H. Palmer, J. J. Roberts, T. M. Shields and Rev Russell; hon secretary. Mr it. McKeowen (r.e-elected); hon treasurer, Mr F. J, Courtney (re-elected); bon amii- : tors, Messrs M. Fraser and A. Renai; delegate to the New Zealand Association,Mr M, Fraser. The annual meeting of the Red Cross Association Football Club was held at the Trocadero last evening. Mr J. J. Gibbs was in the chair. The annual report a precis of which has been published, was adopted. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £l4s 2d. ihe following officers were elected for the ensuing season:—Patron. Mr T. J. It was unanimously decided to enter nenijor junior and third-class elevens. the ’ following club subscriptions were fixed: | Senior. 10s 6d; junior. ss; and thirdclass 3s. A general practice will be ■ held next Saturday at Miramar. Messrs 1 C. B. Fordham and A. Turner intimated their intention of presenting medals.
