PRESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, March 27. A man named Arthur Allan, who Ims a mania for smashing windows, and is but recently out of gaol for that offence, went into Hannan's draper’s shop with an axe and smashed plate glass windows and other property to the value of about £2l. He was taken to the lock-up by the police. TIMARU, March 27. An inquest was held to-day on the body of an infant named Robinson. The evidence showed that a nurse gave it the wrong medicine in error—bellana liniment. The child* died an hour and a half after being given the dose. There were three bottles of medicine on a shelf, and the nurse mistook the liniment bottle for the medicine sent by a doctor. A verdict of accidental death was returned.
