rMW* association. Christchurch:, March 15. The ram and ewe fair concluded today. The demand for flock rams entirely collapsed. Lots for which 5 to 6 guineas were offered yesterday failed to obtain a bid of half that price. Consequently nearly all were passed. This applies' equally* to Shropshire,?, Southdowns, Merinos, Wensleydalos and halfbrecls. English Leicester ewes bred by the late Mr J. M. Furze brought from 2 to 3-J guineas; Border Leicester ewes bred by Mr W. Henderson, 2 to M guineas Shropshire Downs,'oil' aepunt of Mr Burnett (Waikato); 2 to 2J guineas; Mr Reid (Monte Christo). 4 guineas: Messrs Aitken and Seth Smith (Oamaru), 1 guinea. Stud rams met irregular sale. Quotation; 'iverei: —English Leieesters up to 52 guineas; Lincolns up to 20 guineas; Border Jieionsters up to 8J guineas j Shropshire? up to 50 guineas.
