It is stated that the Government has offered a seat on the Education Commission. to Mr A. W. Hogg, M.H.R., and that the member for Masterton will probably accept the position. Whether or not Mr Hogg has been selected to represent the Government or the Legislature on the Commission deponent sayeth not, but a section of the community interested in educational matters will welcome his selection in whatever capacity, because of the very intelligent interest he has for years evinced in questions affecting the training of thd young in cur schools.
