A rival steel trust has been formed in the United States with a capita! of ten million sterling. Mr Picrpont Morgan, the head of tho other trust, holds forty millions as a fund wherewith to fight his opponents. TREMENDOUS TRANSACTIONS. MILLIONS FOR COMMISSION. (Received March 2, 9.9 p.m.) NEW YORK, March 1. Tho commissions received by Mr Pierpout Morgan for forming the steel trust, buying and re-selling the 1. ennsylv ania Coal Company, and floating tho New Jersey Central Railroad Company s bonds', amounted "in twelve weeks to eleven million seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars (about £2,3o0,000).
