j.t is understood that an agitation is on foot to hold the Easter encampment at Pahiatua, instead of either Woodville or Miramar. The proposal of the Heretaunga Mounted Rifles to adopt a green uniform has not been deceived with favour by the Commandant (Colonel Teuton), ■ who is in favour of the kharkee. ■ The Heretaunga Mounted Rifles will hold a meeting this week to discuss the situation. Company parades of the City Rifles and Zealandia Rifles were held last night. The new Marfini-Enfield rifles were served out to the Zceilandias during the evening. A meeting of the Wellington Guards will be held after parade on Thursday for the purpose of electing an officer.
