SERIOUS STABBING AFFRAY.

Late last night a serious stabbing affray occurred in an oyster saloon at the corner of Frederick and Taranaki streets. From the information to us it seems that an altercation took place in the saloon between the proprietor, Duncan McKenzie, ar.d three men named Peter Maroney, Lewis Larsen and Oreasey, and it is alleged that McKenzie stabbed Karoney in tho right side, inflicting a wound about an inch in length and an inch in depth, and he also wounded Larsen in the elbow.

The wounded men were attended by Dr Martin at the Mount Cook Police Station, and McKenzie was subsequently appre* bended by Constables Hammond and Casain on a charge of wounding with intent.
