Received October 15, 10.25 p.m. Sydney, October 15, Green, the fourth man wanted in the Dean case, has surrendered himself. He went to the house of Hill, solicitor, early this morning, and on his advice accompanied him to the police station. Green has been remanded till Thursday on a charge of conspiring to defeat the ends of justice. He has also been remanded on a similar charge in another case. . Ho had not been out of town since the warrant was issued, having hidden himself in a house in the heart of the city. He told Mr Hill that he wanted the whole of tho facts brought out in order to clear his character. He had never, he said, been in Crick or Meagher’s employ. All he had t> do with the secret of Dean's guilt was on tho day when Meagher was going out of town, he said ho had told Sir Julian Salomons about it, aud the latter seemed inclined to bring the whole thing out. Meagher asked Green to go and see Dean, and tell him to look out and see the chemist. He took a note from Dean to Smith, also a verbal message asking the chemist to shut up about the poison. That was the first and all he knew about the matter. It is understood that Dean has" communicated with the authorities with a view of making another and a fuller.confession.
