AGRICULTURAL SHOW.

(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Christchurch, November 7.

The Metropolitan Agricultural Show was attended to-day by 20,000 persons, and a better conducted crowd probably never assembled in New Zealand. The weather in the early part of the day was unpleasantly boisterous, a strong nor’-wester blowing. Mr John Deans won the President’s prize for the largest number cl points in breeding cattle. The light horses were judged to-day. Mr D. Rutherford’s Chainshot took first prize for blood entries, Artillery being second, and Stoneyhnrst third. In the wire jumping competition the Flea, ridden by Mies Lsnce, wss tho first; Jubilee, rider Mr R. Allan, eeoand ; Lewis, rider Mr Saunders third. Leaping match, Mr M. Lewin’a Wild Irishman, 1.
