(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Christchurch, November G. The Christchurch wool sales were opened to-day by the associated brokers with catalogues comprising 1700 bales, mostly crossbreds. Compared with last year’a the values marked a decline of 2d on medium and inferior sorts. The'condition of most of the lots was dingy and heavy. The attendance of buyers was a good one. Fait competition ensued, resulting la a clearance of about halt the quantity offered. The New Zealand Loan and Metcantile Agency Co. report range of prices as follows Greasy halfbred, 8d to 10d ; crossbreds, 7d to 9pi ; merinos, to Sid ; pieces, 3|d to 7d ; locks, 2d to 3|d.
