(per press association.) London, April 20. Mr White’s colt Kirkham in a trial beat another colt called Madrigal, belonging to Matthew Dawson, by a hundred yards. This is looked upon as a good performance, as Madrigal has been in winning form-at Newmarket this week.
Dawson likes Kirkham better every day. (Received April 22, 1,15 a.m.) Sydney, April 21. Hilda, Cynical, Antelope and Texan figure among the nominations for the two principal handicaps at the Turf Club’s Birthday Meeting.
