Returns Globe, 281 oz of amalgam from 172 tone; Inglewood, 84oz from 60 tons; No. 2 Dark, 60oz from 31 tons ; Alpine, 201 oz from 120 tons; Fiery Cross, 150 oz from 94 tons.
Reports In the Inangahua low level tunnel the improvement is very marked, there being now a One body of solid stone up and down to the full extent of the face. The lode'is from eight to twelve inches thick, and carries good gold. The Inkerman mine manager reports “ The winze is sunk 9Jft for the week. The total depth below No. 1 level is 124 ft. The stone is the full size of the winze, and shows very good 'gold all'through. The contractors started to drive No. 2 level on Wednesday a distance of 100 ft. The ground ie very bard, but they expect shortly to get into softer oountry. About 143 tons of stone is to grass.” The share market is dnll.
(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Dunedin, April 21, The Sew Hoy Big Beach Company received 350 z of amalgam for the last two days, giving a total of 107 oz of amalgam for the week, or an average of 620 z of retorted gold. The Dunedin Gold Dredging Company obtained 28oz of gold for four days’ dredging- ,
Auckland, April 21. According to the latest reports, the prospects of Pnhipuhi have much improved. Chloride of silver has been found in three of the claims.
