On the 3rd inst., a meeting of . the Welling.' ton Cricket Club took place at the Schoolroom, Te Aro, according to advertisement.' The rules and bye-laws of the Club woro unanimously agreed. to, and ordered to be printed, together with the Maryleborie laws’ of Cricket, for distribution among the members and others interested in the glime. A return match between the Club and players) in the country districts was likewise arranged for Thursday next, to take place in Mr. Laing’s paddock at the Hutt; play to begin at twelve o’clock. The meeting, which' was numerously attended, was presided over by G. Moore, Esq.
