The claims of the sufferers in the Hospital received careful attention at the hands of several friends this Christmastide, and the Matron desires to convey her thanks to the donors who gave so generously towards the Christmas tree for thf patients on Christmas Eve, and to those kind friends who helped in various ways to convey the spirit of the festive season to the inmates i>f the institution
The decking of the traffic bridge, which spans the Tuki Tuki river on the southern boundary of this town is undergoing alteration. The centre planking has been removed and is being replaced with metal and rubble tarred and pressed into the space made by the removal of the decking.
