There were smaller entries than for some time past at Addington to-day, sheep classes showing the greatest falling off. The attendance was good. The entries for the day comprised 8895 sheep, 993 cattle, and 396 pigs. Fat Cattle—About JBO head yarded, mostly light weight sorts. Bidding showed more life than of late, and better classes met good competition. Steers, £0 7s 6d to .£9 12s 6d ; heifers, £3 15s to £7 J2s 6d ; cows, £3 7s 6d to £1 17s Cd ; prime beef, 18s to 20s per 1001 b; inferior to medium, 13a to 17s.

Fat Sheep—Medium entry, containing a largo proportion of sheep of freezing quality. The demand for ail classes was keen, and late prices were well maintained. Fat Lambs —Sale unsatisfactory for vendors of any but the best sorts, there being a drop of from Is to Is (id on secondary lines. Best lambs, 10s to 12s ; others, 7s to 8s 9d. Store Sheep—Small entry, and the sale as a wholo satisfactory. Forward two and fourtooth crossbred wethers fit for topping off brought 10s Gd to lls 5d ; not quite so good, Os to 10s 3d; mixed sexes (turnipe-s), 8s 91 to lls 2d; good young ewes, 8s to 8s lOd; sound-mouthed ewes, 4i to 5s Gd ; and aged sorts, 2s lid to 3s 9d ; good lambs, Gs to 8s Id ; and inferior to medium, 2s 9d to 5s Cd. Pigs—Large entry. Good baconers, 23s to 45s 6.1; porkers, lGs to 26s ; largo stores, 19s to 15s ; smaller sorts, 4s to 8s Gd; prime baconers and porkers, 3d to 3}d per lb.

There has been a very good business passing in both grain and produce during the past week. The wheat offering has been readily taken, and in addition to the large amount exported to Sydney, Hobart and Noumoa, several large parcels have boon taken for Auckland and Dunedin, and a fair enquiry exists for the local milling trade. Oats are still scare, and prices have further advanced. Oatsheaf chaff is being exported to Sydney in considerable quantities, and prime samples are becoming scarco. Potatoes and onions have seen good business, the bulk of those sold going to Sydney. Barley—Malting, prime, 3a Gd to 3s 9d (nominal); medium do, 3s 3d to 3s Gd ; second quality, 2s Gd to 3s ; foed, 2s 3d. Boans (nominally)—Well saved, 2s 3d; ticks, 2s 4d to 2s Gd. Peas—Blue Prussians, 3s Gd to 3s 9d ; others, 3s to 3s Id. Flour —Millers quote, roller, £lO ; stone, .£9 10s. Sharps, -£4; bran, ,£3 10s ; oatmeal, £llO : oatsheaf chaff, 50s to 55s at handy country stations. Onions, TG to £7 10s, at country stations. Potatoes —Dcrwcnts, 32s 6d to 35s at country stations.
