THE PRODUCE EXPORT TRADE.
Adelaide, May 2. Tho Conference of Ministers of Agriculture has been held, but. was conducted in private. The resolutions are to bo reserved for tho consideration of the various < iovernments. It is understood that tho Conference was unanimous in agreeing that the question of the exportation of produco was a subject for Federal action, because the errors of one colony would endanger the success of the others. It was hoped that uniform action would be arranged. The Conference decided that all meat shipped from Australasia should bo sound and free from disease; that there should be a uniform system of inspecting and marking dairy produce, fruit and wines; and, if possible, a Federal brand should be adopted.
