BANKRUPTCY.

The statement of assets and liabilities in the estate of James G. Davies, plumber, shows debts amounting to £!2! 3s Gd, against which there are assets, consisting of stock-in-trade, goodwill of business, Ae., amounting to £33 17s. Tho principal creditors, all of whom aro unsecured, are Stewart and Co., £IG Os Id; Ballinger Bros., £ll 5s fid ; Blundell Bros., £5 Gs Gd ; T. Ballinger and Co., £5 8s Sd ; T. Murphy, £l2 18s; Stout, Monly, Sim and Findlay, £l6 ss; G. Webb, £7 7s 8d ; S. P. Clements, £2ll Is. Tho liabilities in the bankrupt estate of C. R. James, painter, are put down at £JS Gs Gd and tho assets at £1 12s Gd. The principal creditors in the estate are: —R. and K. Tingcy, £24 17s lOd; 11. Pritchard, £l3 Its Gd ; It. Martin, £ll 14s 7d ; J. Evans, £2l 7s ; H. Mitchell, £ls ; Baker Bros, (rent), £5 2s. A meeting of creditors in tho estate of James G. Davis was held on Friday morning, and it was decided that the bankrupt lie required, within four days, to give the Assignee an account of receipts and expenditure ; that he bo allowed £1 a week for a fortnight, on condition that tho hook debts were collected ; and that the Assignee he authorised to dispose of the. goodwill and stock at his discretion, without proceeding to tender. The meeting was adjourned until Friday next at 11 a.m. At a mooting of the creditors of W. E. Hugo, Harbour Board employee, the bankrupt was examined by the Official Assignee, and stated that he could make no offer. There was only one creditor present. The meeting was adjourned sine die.
