London, April 23. The Komata Queen Goldmining Company, with a capital of £7S,OL)G, is issuing the whole amount. London, April 27. Tho Kurunui - Caledonian Goldmining Company, Thames, is announced, with a capital of .£175,000, of which tho promoters are issuing 4170,000. Perth, April 25. A big lode carrying rich gold has been struck at Brookman’s boulder mine, Kalgoorlie. nt a depth of 103 feet. The lode covers the whole bottom of the shatt. A reef showing good gold all through has also been struck in the Colorado lease, and is estimated to yield from 5 to 0 ounces per ton. Auckland, April 21.

An oiler has been leeoived to lloat tho Nil Desperandum mine in London, with the Rosebery adjoining. The full terms have not been disclosed, but they include a considerable interest to the present shareholders in the form of paid-up shares, and a fairly considerable sum in cash to the shareholders of each mine. Auckland, April 23. Business was decidedly better on the Exchange to-day, there being buyers for 74 different mining stocks at the noon meeting. Considerable business was done in Ha/.elbanks. In consequence of a private cablegram received from London staling that tins company had been floated, shares sold at 4s, and then up to Is 31, after which the market closed with sellers Is and buyers 3s fid. May Queen shares were easier, and sold at 7s Gd, New Waihi shares at Sd and S.ld. Tho demand for Sovereigns was as brisk as ever, free sales being made at Is Gd and Is 7d. Waitekauri No. 4 shares advanced, sales being made at 2s 3d, with further buyers at 2s 2d. Bunker’s Hill shares firmed, sales being made at 7s 3d and 7s Gd. Another advance was in Hauraki Norths, 2s being ottered, with no sellers under 2s fid. A few days ago these shares wore freely offered at 2s. In Kuaotunu stocks the only sale reported was in Jupiters, at 3s Sd. Auckland, April 25.

The contract for tho sale of the Waitokauri No. 4 mine to a Canadian company has been signed. Tho Monowai property, Waiomo, has been under offer in Glasgow. The terms are now accepted, and a company is being formed which is to provide a working capital and erect a large plant. The negotiations for tho flotation of tho Hauraki North mine in Loudon are proceeding satisfactorily. The Pride of Tokatea mine, Coromandel, has had its first crushing, which gave a

splendid result. Twelve tons quartz and 3001 b picked stone yielded llooz gold, which realised £ 115. This property has been sold to a Liverpool company. Captain Argali is at Kuaotunu to-day to inspect a new reef cut in tho KapaiVermout low level, and report upon it on behalf of tho London purchasers. Amongst tho passengers who arrived by tho mail steamer were Messrs P. L. Foster and Pearce, mining experts. The former is said to he under engagement to Mr Zimau.

Latest cable advices state that t he London market lias improved as far as prospects for New Zealand mines are concerned. Auckland, April 27.

Cable advices received to-day state that the llazelbank-Kurunui Company has been lloatcd in London; also, that a contract has been signed in connection with the purchase of 550 acres at the Tiki, known as the Coromandel Freehold Proprietary, and a deposit of £5<X) was paid to tho company to-day. The terms upon which the Coromandel property have been sold aro that tho new company shall have a capital of .£200,000 in 200,000 sharc-s, of which number 40,000 fully paid-up are to be allotted to the present local shareholders, who also receive £12,500 cash. A working capital of £ to,ooo is also to be provided. A private cable received this afternoon states that the property was absolutely sold on Saturday. Invercargill, April 25.

A representative of South African capitalists has arranged to take up three claims on tho beaches at Waipapa and Waikawa, on which his principals are prepared to spend £IOO,OOO in thoroughly testing the ground by the cyanide process. Hokitika, April 25.

A special claim of 100 acres marked out on tho south side of tho Mikonui river contains a reef 15ft thick, some tests of which have given over 2oz to the ton. Some excitement has been caused in the district by the discovery.

Tho directors of tho Greenstone Company have been approached in reference to selling their property for flotation in London, and have replied that they are prepared to recommend the shareholders to sell for £12,000 cash.
