POLO.
At the Auckland Polo Club’s sports and races last week the Polo Cup was won by Air E. D. C’Rorke’s Nimble, The Nut second, Lucky Grey third. General Alite won tho Steeplechase, Kia Ora second, and Gisborne third. The Hurdle Race was won by Kia Ora, the Bending Competition by Kerry, the Polo Ball Race by Laddie (ridden by Air Wynward), the Tandem Pace by Bilboa and Kerry, tho Ladies’ Bracelet by Nimble (nominated by Airs O’Rorke), the Cigar Lace by Clmmmie,and the Slow ’Un Stakes by Blue Bottle. The tug-ol’-war Auckland v. Kihikihi, on ponies, was won by Kihikihi.
In a polo match Auckland v. Kihikihi, the former won by G goals to 1.
