NEW ZEALAND'S GOLD EXPORT.
INCREASE OF .£274,325 LAST YEAR. During last year the gold mined in and exported from the Colony exceeded in value the export for the preceding year by .£274,325. As might naturally be expected from the revival of mining up north, Auckland contributes by far the largest proportion of the increase. The output from that district exceeded in value its export for the previous year by .£218,888. The comparative figures for the several mining districts are as follow : 1895. 1891.
