FOE SALE. TWO VERY FINE AMERICAN TROTTING STALLIONS. " Grand Moor Junr." Time— 2.18}. Is a magnificent dark brown horse, standing 16.1, bred by Mr Martin, Mendenhall, of Livermore, Cal., U.S.A., 10 years old. Got by Grand Moor (2374), sire of Abdul, 2.28; Myrtle T, 2.27}; Sadie Moor, 2.29}, and dams of Sidmoor, 2.195, Mustapha, 2.23. First dam Corisande, 2.24}- (one of the most beautiful mares ever soen) ; She, by lowa Chief (528), record, 2.345, and sire of Bertie M, 2.275, Charlie Baldwin, 2.27 d, &c. Grand Moor (2374) is by The Moor (870), record 2.37, sire of Sultan, 2.24, who in his turn was the sire of Stamboul, 2.07}, and 25 others in the 2.30 list; Tommy Gates, 2.24; Del Sin, 2.24 j and of dams of Sable Wilkes, 2.18. It will thus be seen that two other great famines are represented in this horse, viz., Clay Pilot (93) and Mambrino Patchen (58). Thornton, Rancho Resaca Contra, Costa, Cal., U.S.A. Got by James Madison, 2.175. First dam Bell Allen, by Vick's Etham Allen Junr. (9203); sire of Prince Allen, 2.27. Second dam Belmont Belle, by Owen Dale (sire of dams of Brushy John, 2.27; Freestone, 2.29; Lady Ellen, 2.29*; Susie, 2.28}). Third dam is a very fast quarter mare by Grey Eagle. James Madison was by Anteco, 2.16£, a son of Electioneer (125) from Lucy Patchen, by Geo. M. Patchen Junr. (31). Ariteeo, the sire of Anteeogue, 2.23; James Madison, 2.175; Maud M, 2.20; Anteeo Richmond, 2.24}, and many others. Allan Dale has the strains of the great Hambletonian family well represented, a combination of blood hard to beat. He is bred on lines which the late Senator Stanford so dearly loved, viz., good trotting blood with plenty of thoroughbred. " Allan Dale " has not yet appeared on a trotting track, but has shown himself a beautiful mover. He is a splendid tempered horse and big for his age, and quiet to drive.
