OFFICIAL CALENDAR WELLINGTON RAGING CLUB. New Zealand Mail has been appoin- _ ted the Official Calendar for the publication of all programmes in the District of Wellington, in terms of Rule 17 of the Rules bf Racing. Rule 17 reads:—" The programme of each meeting in which the added money is £IOO or Upwards must be advertised in full once at least in the Official Calendar. The advertisement shall show that the programme has been approved by the Jockey Club, shall state the days on which the meeting is to begin and end, and the names of the stewards, judge, starter, clerk of tbe scales and handicapper." All notifications for the future published in this column are so published under the authority of the Wellington Racing Club, and are binding on country clubs and others, who must therefore duly note the same.

TRAINERS' AND JOCKEYS' LICENSES. All licenses expire on July 31st. Applications for renewals or new licenses must be sent in (accompanied by the necessary fees) to the Secretary of the Wellington Racing Club on or before Monday, sth August, 1895, otherwise they will not be dealt with for another month. Licenses will not be issued to young jockeys unless they are in the employ of a licensed trainer (or well-known horse-owner), whose recommendation must be endorsed on the application. DISQUALIFICATIONS. Adam McMorran, disqualified by the Wellington Racing Club for life, and warned off all Racecourses where the Metropolitan Rules are in force, for striking the rider of Jacob across the head while riding in the Second Hurdle Handicap at the Wellington Racing Club's Snring Meeting, November 18th, 1893. John Cooper, by the Wairarapa Racing Club for two years, from March 27, 1895, for breaking a lock at the Moroa Racecourse. Charles Carmont, by the Horowhenua Jockey Club, for twelve months, from April 17, 1895, for riding without a license after stating to the stewards that he was a licensed jockey.
