HOSPITAL TRUSTEES.

An ordinary meeting of the Hospital Trustees was held on Tuesday morning, there being present Messrs F. H. Fraser (chairman), Allen, Willeston, Taylor, Collins, lvebbell and the Rev H. Van Staveren. On the recommendation of the House Committee it was decided to call for tenders for painting the roof of the hospital buildings. The liquor return showed that during the month of December of last year 20 patients consumed 182 pint., of wine and malt liquors, being about 9 pints each. For the same month of the previous year 30 patients consumed 270 pints, also an average of 9 pints each. The return of patients for the months of November and December last Bhowed that during those months 107 patients were discharged from the institution as cured, 8 patients were relieved, 5 died, and 5 were unrelieved, the total number of patients remaining undertreatment being 109 —73 males and 36 females. The tender of Messrs Ahradsen and Co., at L 33 15s, was accepted for fitting up the padded room. In Committee it was decided that a fortnight’s salary should be granted to Miss Heath, dispenser at -the Hospital, for the month she was absent through sickness. Several letters received from England by Mr S. Darks, with reference to the heating of the Hospital, were referred to a Committee, consisting of the Chairman, Messrs G. Allen and G. M. Kebbell, for consideration.
