BOWLING.
There was a large attendance at the Wellington bowling green on Saturday, and the following are the rinks played —No. 1 Messrs Letham, Harris, Gale, and Campbell (skip) against Messrs G. Wilson, Gordon, Eliott, and Crombie (skip), Air Crombie winning by 21 to 11. Re-arranging the rink and putting Messrs Eliott and Gale as skips, the same side again won by 21 to 8. Rink No. 2—Messrs Haselden, Leslie, Gray, aDd Whitehouse (skip) played Messrs Robinson, L. Blundell, T. T. Miller, and Cooper (skip), Mr Whitehouse winning by 2i to 7,'and on a re-arrangement Mr Whitehouse again won by 21 to 2. Rink No. 3—Messrs Young, Riley, Flyer, and Lambert (skip) played against Alessrs Campbell, Finlay, Penty, and McKerrow (skip), Mr Lambert winning by 21 to 11. Rink No. 4—Alessrs Barron, Taylor, Ballinger, and Macdougall (skip), played Alessrs Lockie, Holeroft, Grady, and Fergus (skip), Mr Macdougall winning one game by 21 to 17, and Mr Fergus one by 21 to 18. The New Zealand and South Seas Exhibition Tournament is to be held in Dunedin, under the auspices of the New Zealand Bowling Association, on the 23rd to 28th instant. There are to fce two important rink matches—first, the interelub matches, in which eighteen clubs and over one hundred players will take part ; second, a grand tournament of 64 rinks, from v iotoria, New South Wales, and New Zealand ; third, intercolonial match ; fourth, inter-island match, for New Zealand players ; fourth, interprovincial match, Canterbury against Otago ; sixth, single-handed tournament. The gentlemen chosen to represent the Wellington Club are to be under Alessrs Fergus, Scoullar, and Campbell, as skips, who are to arrange three rinks from Messrs Barraud, Ballinger, Crombie, Gale, Gray, McGlashan, Lambert, Sample, and Y"oung, with Alessrs Barron, Lindsay, and Lockie in case of emergency.
