THE ORLANDO AT PORT CHALMERS.

(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Dunedin, January 13. H.M.S. Orlando passed Ocean Beach at noon yesterday, reaching the Heads a couple of hours later. She was tendered by the Lizard, to wbich Lord Carrington and Admiral Lord Charles Scott, accompanied by the members of their suites, transferred themselves, and the party were conveyed to town by special train, being received by Mr Geo. McLean, the Mayor, aud the heads of the Volunteer force. The City Guards and Hussars furnished a guard of honour and escort. Lord Carrington met with a very hearty reception. The Orlando went on to Akaroa.
