REVENUE RETURNS.
It is understood that the Property-tax receipts for the nine months ending the 31st of December last will
amount to L 205,000, and. the Stamps revenue for the same period 10 L 435,000. These figures, however, do not represent a fair proportion of the year’s revenue, there being several large items under both heads which are payable only in the last quarter of the financial year. It is expected that the total Property-tax revenue for the year will fall short of the estimate by about LIO,OOO, and that the Stamps revenue will exceed the estimate by a similar amount.
