London, December 12. A note has been addressed by the Porte to the British Government intimating a desire that they should discuss the question of the evacuation of Egypt by the British forces. The Earl of Iddesleigh, Foreign Secre-
tary, in reply, has promised to consider the Pcrte’s request without delav.
