THE WAITEMATE ELECTION.

(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Auckland, December 6. At the nomination for the Waitemata election to-day, Mr Richard Monk and Mr H. W. Farnall were proposed. The show of hands was in favor of Mr Monk, A poll was demanded by Mr Farnall; November 7.

The Radical Reform League support Mr Farnall’s candidature for Waiteinata. They also passed a resolntion catling on Govern-' ment to limit.appointments and stop payment to members of the Legislative Council, besides otherwise reducing the expenses of Government. They also drew attention to the fact that imported cement was being used for public works here instead of the local article, which was far superior.
