BIBLE IN SCHOOLS
The annual meeting of the women's committee of the Bible in Schools League was presided over by Mrs Hugh Rasper. In her report Mrs Kasper stressed the value of the Bible in schools and thanked officers and members for the intensive work done throughout the year. The year's activities were reviewed by the secretary, Mrs R. Gordon, and Sister North reported on tjhe Bible essay for primary schools, in which 588 pupils took part. Twelve prizes and 100 certificates were awarded. The following officers were elected:—President, Mrs H. Hasper; vice-presidents, Mrs F. W. Mountjoy, Mrs J. F. T. Mitchell: secretary, Mrs K. Gordon; treasurer. Mrs L. Joll; committee members. Mrs W. Cranston. Mrs L. Fordham, Mrs G. Brownlee, Mrs F. Swan, Mrs J. Wade. Mrs A. Midgley. Mrs M. Moreu, Mrs M. Brewer, Mrs R. Cook, Mrs A. Wells, Mrs H. Sagar, Mrs J. Williams, Misses E. Brown and E. Gieson.
