TOOK TWO TARPAULINS

WHANGAKEI, Tuesday Stating that he had meant to keep the tarpaulins only for a few days, Gilbert Lloyd Chitty, a farmer, admitted in tlio Whangarei Court that lie had taken two tarpaulins, the property of the Railway Department. Sergeant H. J. Harrington said that accused unloaded a truck of fertiliser and later it was found that a new tarpaulin was missing. When spoken to accused returned an old one. Another tarpaulin was taken later and both were used to cover a hay gtaek. AoouMd ipm fined £6.
