AUCKLAND EXCHANGE A QUIET MARKET Trading on tJio Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday was quiet, with only minor changes in general values. There were a few more sellers of Government issues and four parcels changed hands, two showing a slight reduction on recent valuations. Bank of New Zealand shares were very steady and after three sales at 37s 6d, unchanged, the market rested between 37s 4d and 37s Bd. CLOSING QUOTATIONS

FARMERS' TRADING COMPANY At a meeting of the directors of the Farmers' Trading Company. Limited, yesterday, a resolution was passed authorising payment of the half-yearly dividend on A, B and C. preference snares on May 30. On the A and B shares the rate is 7 per cent per annum, less 20 per cent reduction under the Interest Adjustment Act, making 5 3-5 per cent. On the C shares the rate is 6 per cent per annum. At an extraordinary general meeting also held yesterday a number of resolutions amending the articles of association were passed, and a reduction in the maximum number of directors from nine to seven was approved. RABBITSKINS IN DEMAND At the rabbitskin sale in Dunedin on Friday a total of approximately 48 tons was suDmit/fced. The demand was exceptionally strong, exporters bidding freely for all descriptions. Racks and summer grades showed a considerable improvement, values being on the average 12d to 15d per lb dearer. PUKEKOHE HORSE SALE

(0.C.) PUKEKOHE, Wednesday A good entry and a good attendance of buyers marked a horso sale held at Pukekohe yesterday by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited. Competition was keen for horses showing quality, and prices went to £3fi 10s, a good reliable farm mare changing hands at this figure. Other reliablo farm horses made £22 to £27, with lighter and older farm sorts at £l2 to £lO and light horses just broken to chains at £6 to £l2.
