send the-'Mini-ter of Health, Mr. Nordrneyer. and the Minister of Education, Mr. Mason, to Auckland immediately to decide definitely whether the Training College could be made available for the training of student teachers. A letter was received from the Hospital Board stating it could not see.its way to return the college, as it was required for war purposes. The building would, however, be vacated at the first opportunity.

The principal of the college, Mr. D, M. R ae. expressed surprise at the Hospital Board's action, and pointed out the difficulties that teachers would experience if they could not complete their training. The college was specially equipped for training teachers and it was being used to accommodate convalescent patients and not soldier patients.

Mr. A. Burns said the question'of war emergencies would have to be examined caretully.

Mr. R. A. Rew said the Hospital Board should approach the Government to provide temporary accommodation. It was decided to protest against remarks made by Mr. Allan Moody, chairman of the Hospital Board, concerning the students' war work.
