TAURANGA "BOMBED"

EMERGENCY REHEARSAL (O.C) TAURANGA, Thursday The Tauranga Emergency Precautions Scheme Organisation conducted its second rehearsal last evening. The sounding of the alarm was preceded by a mock bombing attack 011 the town. The Air Force co-operated, using two Harvard training machines. The rehearsal last for an hour, during which time various branches of the organisation carried out their work with efficiency. Dressing stations and emergency hospitals in various parts of the borough were manned by their staffs, a l.nve number of "casualties" being dealt with. .Many imaginary fires were fought, and several methods of restoring broken communications were put into practice.
