RECORD BROKEN
TECHNICAL STEEPLECHASE A new intermediate record was created in the Seddon Memorial Technical College steeplechase, held yesterday, when X. Stanyer covered the 3'/i-mile course in 20m to •l-.">s, Tlie previous best intermediate time was 20 m -.'(is, registered in 1037 by J. B. Ballard. The senior championship was won by C. Lonsich, who finished in 20rn 20s. Altogether about 800 boys took part in the three divisions, the course starting and finishing at the Domain. Detailed results were as follows :
Senior Championship.—C. Lonsich (Wellesley), 'JOm -''is. 1; M. Groves (Binns), '2om 3-is. M. Bremner (Welleslev), 21m 51s, 3. .Senior handicap.—C. Lousich, scr, 1; M. Groves, scr. 2; L. Lush (Seddon), '2m, 2om 10s, 3. Intermediate Championship.—X. Stan.ver (Welleslev), 20m 15 l-ss, 1; F. Service (Binns), 20m s)s, 2; L. Williams (Seddon), Junior Championship.—J. Mackie (Binns), •'"m 15s. 1; M. Haines (Ilindley), 23m (is, 2; I. Cattenach (Ilindley), 23m 13s, 3. The house championship was won by Hindlev with 201/ i points. Binns was next with I(50 points, with Wellesley third; 145 points, and Seddon fourth, 138 M, points.. For the purposes of the house event, points were awarded the first 30 competitors to finish in each section
