The mixed .pairs competition played at the [Northern Contract Bridge Club resulted:— 1 North-South: Mrs. H. Richards and Dr. Mackenzie, 03.7 per cent, 1; Mrs. Newel I and Mr. C. D. Warren, G.">.2, 2; Mesdames Hume and Busrke, .50.1, 3. East-West: Miss M. MacCormick and Mr. C. N. Tucker, Hl.O. 1; Miss F. Hall and Dr. A. J. Friedlander, 01.1, 2; Mrs. W.vlie and Miss N. MacCormick, 50, 3. In the teams-of-four contest, Mr. Morgan's team defeated Dr. Mackenzie's team by 340 points. At the Auckland Bridge Club the Thursday night tournament resulted: —NorthSouth: Messrs. Mitchell and Bell, 1; Mrs. Wylie and Dr. Mackenzie, 2. East-West: Mrs. Reeves and Miss Coutts, 1; Mesdames Middlebrook and Perreau, 2. Results in the Auckland Club's Friday afternoon handicap tournament were:—NorthSouth: Mesdames Bloomfield and Nettleton, 253. 1; Mesdames Hamlin-White and Brodie, 220%, 2. East-West: Mesdames Holl and Rains, S.VIVa. 1; Mesdames Israel and Murray, 220%, 2. The handicap winners were:—North-South: Mcsdamgs HamlinWhite and Brodie. East-West: Mesdames Cadman and Gill.
