BALLOT FOR MARRIED MEN
Sir, —Many correspondents have remarked on the fact that the time is last approaching when married men will be called up for service. Unfortunately none of these writers know when, although it. is generally accepted that the time will be in November. To enable the married men to have ample time in this respect I feel that a Government announcement declaring the exact date, of the first balloting of the Second Division should now be made public. This will save a lot of guesswork and also allow the married men in this class to make arrangements accordingly. F- Hookwav.
