BURGLARS AT DEVONPORT

SHOP RIFLED FIVE TIMES For the fifth time within six months thieves on Monday night broke into a hairdresser and tobacconist shop, occupied by Mr. L. White, in Clarence Street, Devonport. and stole tobacco valued at about £lO. .Mr. White reported that some of his hairdressing tools also were missing. Entry was gained by breaking four panes of glass in the front door and unfastening the lock from the inside. A butcher's shop next door also was entered, but the intruders were unsuccessful in their search for money.
