FIGHTERS' MOTHER FUND

general committee of the No. 1 group (building trades) in the recent Fighters' Mother Campaign were entertained in the Milne and Choyce Reception Hall yesterday afternoon. The president, Mr. H. J. Hulse, presided, assisted by the treasurer, Mr. H. M. Clark. Both thanked all the helpers in the group who had assisted in raising the sum of £17,800 for the fund. Shoulder sprays were presented to Mrs. P. Heath-Preest, chairman of the ladies' committee, Mrs. R. E. N. Matthews, secretary, Mrs. C. D. Simpson, convener of the ticket collecting, Mrs. Hulse, Mrs. H. Beamich, Miss V. Clark, Miss M. Anderson, Miss M. Hart and Miss M. Early, all voluntary workers, and Miss M. Dreaver, who represented her mother, Mrs, M. M. Dreaver, M.P., who was Fighters' Mother for the group.
