PRIVATE CABLEGRAM PONSONBY CORPORAL TRACED Advice that her son, Corpora] Ray-, mond Wilson, who- was reported missing on June 17, was now a prisoner of war, has been received by Mrs. M. Morgan, - of 38 Franklin Road. Ponsonby, in response to a private cablegram sent to the International Red Cross. The Red Cross authorities advised Mrs. Morgan that her son's prisoner of war number is 21861 and that he is in Stalag 8B camp. Educated at the Napier Street School, ■ Corporal Wilson was engaged in farming before he enlisted, leaving New Zealand with the third echelon. He was posted to a provost company, seeing service in both the Greece and the Crete campaigns. ACCIDENTAL DROWNING AN AUCKLAND GUNNER Gunner Trevor H. Flynn, who has_ been reported accidentally drowned,was the son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Flynn, of Devonport. Gunner Flynn attended" the Secldon Memorial Technical College and was a member of the Territorial Force for a number of years before the ' war. He enlisted for overseas service shortly after the outbreak of war, and left New Zealand with the first echelon, seeing service in Greece and Crete.
